NI’s Lafferty out since of Achilles issue, says O’Neill
Northern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill says Kyle Lafferty cited an Achilles damage when he withdrew from a patrol for a Nations League games opposite Austria and Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The Northern Ireland trainer pronounced on Tuesday night that a Rangers striker had “ruled himself out” of a games.
O’Neill was sensitive of Lafferty’s withdrawal late on Sunday evening.
“Kyle had an Achilles problem, we knew he had an Achilles problem in September,” pronounced O’Neill in Vienna.
“He felt he would be improved served not entrance and being partial of a patrol for these dual games – despite he’s been partial of a Rangers patrol all season.”
Northern Ireland face Austria in Vienna on Friday dusk before holding on a Bosnians in Sarajevo on Monday.
